LISTINGS FOR HOMES around El Conquistador, located within a housing area known as Canada Hills reveals a recent inventory of resale properties ranging from $270,000 to $600,000.

Homes on a golf course range from $300,000 and beyond. La Reserve, a gated subdivision just below Pusch Ridge, is a good area to check out. From I-10 you can see Pusch Ridge and it looks intriguing. Take Tangerine Road to El Conquistador and the ridge looms large above some of the most lush saguaro and cactus desert in the state of Arizona.

Pusch Ridge is named after pioneer George Pusch, who came to Tucson from Germany in the 1870's and built a ranch near the ridge. It is part of a wilderness area in the Santa Catalina Mountains that includes 9,000 foot Mount Lemmon where there is a ski resort that operates occasionally when the snow gets deep enough.
